Lutino Rainbow Lorikeets

At Karmic Aviaries we are now specialized in mutation Rainbows Lorikeets this page is dedicated to the Pure strain Lutino Rainbows

Here is some lovely photos of a Lutino Rainbow Hen{to me this look and is as pure as you would need to stop calling it a hybrid}breed at and bought from Utopia Birds Photo by Paul Keurzen, Paul and wife Cheryl .

But from memory Mr Russell MacAlister & Bill Connors who bought the true first lutino scaley from Horst Bickel, and Russel & Bill well and truely estabilished the lutino scaley brested lorikeet all from this one lutino hen.

Glenn Matheson of Sticky-Beak Aviaries™ was the first to Hybridize the Lutino Scalies to the Rainbow, Musked Lorikeets and Red-collard to pure split male after many years of outcrossing back to pure stock,

As for Lutino Red-collards read ABK magazine Vol 14 Issue 11 Oct-Nov 2001 pages 626 to 629 The split males that Bob Willis talks about in this article was bred by Glenn Matheson as well

In the new Book by Mr Stan Sindle & Dr Jim Gill new australian Lorikeet book now out in this book it quote 7/8 as pure, that is four cross back to pure stock is PURE, so to me once over 7/8 you can and should call your new mutation PURE.

From 30/12/2007 when I use the word "PURE" the denote a birds that is pure rainbow,

All Lutino Rainbow Lorikeet now beeen breed at Karmic Aviaries are Pure strain rainbows
